I heard a lot about that one too. I am going to give it a try after I try out Mayu recs. Cool. Just a word of warning though... while If My Heart Had Wings is low on "drama" per say... It's not really low on emotion. And the amount of drama also varies heavily based on the route. I suppose the main difference between the drama of Grisaia no Kajitsu and If My Heart Had Wings is that in If My Heart Had Wings the drama is supposed to uplift and inspire rather than solely to entertain and intrigue. And you also need to make sure you pick up the unofficial restoration patch here. Or rather, you should pick the patch up unless you like your VN's with tons of unnecessary censorship. I also just want to say as a cheap shot... Of course Taulmav would recommend a VN in which the company president who translated it is quoted (and often mocked) within the VN community as saying "I want a French Grill to be able to play this VN".

"For example, we want 12 year old French girls who like anime to know about [our title] as well, and make it so that there is no problem appealing it to these girls." Fuwanovel response was the good one. "12-year-old French girls? You expect 12-year-old French girls to: Buy a game from an online shopping site in English That’s a text novel (in their 2nd language, assuming they know English) That puts the reader in the shoes of a male protagonist, and is About falling in love with one of several high school girls" Aniways, i did not know about the moenovel wanting french grill to play é_é

Thanks for the warning. I already started reading IMHHW and so far I am liking it. Let's see how it goes. I already got both the game and restoration patch but thanks for the link anyway.

If you can read japanese you should try akatsuki no goei, I loved that one Sadly I can't It's really a pitty, I would totally read it. The synopsis really got me interested. I am seriously going to learn japanese someday. And since I am studying computer engineering, I'm pretty sure japanese could come in handy. Hmm, maybe I could use that translator? There was a software that translated visual novels in real time via google translate. I can't remember the name though...

It seems like Sekai Project wants to localize Grisaia: visualnovelaer.fuwanovel.org/2014/10/sekai-project-launches-pre-kickstarter-for-grisaia-series/Depending on the kickstarter success, they may localize the entire trilogy. But their goals are a little high... Here's hoping they can make it. They are planning to localize both all-age and +18 versions. Btw, I'm feeling up to it to play Grisaia again, which route do you recomend? As for the original point of this thread: Commander Taulmav- Put If My Heart Had Wings on hold. I'm just like that, I eventually get bored and return to it some day later. But I definitely enjoyed it. Thanks again; - I still didn't give Shinigami no kiss a chance... I am going to download it and give it a try someday. salaza- I still didn't give your recs a try, but I will download Heart de Roommate and give it a try. LordRevan- Gave Shuffle a try but... I just can't get into it... I don't know why but I can't connect myself with the protagonist or feel anything for the other characters... How is the anime compared with the VN? Should I give the anime a shot? Maybe it will make me more interested in the VN?

LordRevan- Gave Shuffle a try but... I just can't get into it... I don't know why but I can't connect myself with the protagonist or feel anything for the other characters... How is the anime compared with the VN? Should I give the anime a shot? Maybe it will make me more interested in the VN? The Anime was absolute Shit. Avoid at all costs. They can't even draw the characters properly for it. If you are having a hard time connecting yourself to the protagonist, I would almost recommend playing through it's sequel "Really? Really!" first (note that I say "almost"). Really? Really! delves deeply into the back-story of both the Protagonist and the main love interest (his childhood friend) and it's actually highly compelling. The issue is, that "Really? Really!" is about one third compelling prequel, one-third after story for the childhood friend route, and one-third fandisk stuffed to the brim with meaningless sex scenes. So, Your Mileage May Vary. The reason I like Shuffle! is admittedly because of all of the characterization that goes on in Really? Really!. And the reason I like all of the characterization is because it takes the normal harem plot of "This guys a nice guy so he gets all the wimenz." which really means "This guys not a total dick and somehow manages to get all the wimenz and that is the extent of his personality." and Tsuchimi Rin takes the concept of being incredibly nice and plays it straight without half-assing it (something which is made very clear in Really? Really!). TL;DR If you are not connecting to the characters, then ultimately what you need is more characterization. Shuffle's sequel Really? Really! has that in spades, but it unfortunately has a lot of meaningless content as well. And admittedly, Really? Really! is also clearly meant to be a sequel, so it is presented in a form that would likely be hard for someone who had never played Shuffle! all the way through to enjoy. So your options are: 1. To struggle through Shuffle! and hope that Really? Really! makes all of the events of Shuffle! more meaningful like it did for me. 2. To switch to Really? Really! and hope the additional characterization there makes Shuffle! more appealing. 3. Or you could just drop it. All of the above choices would be acceptable. Edit: Also, for recommended Grisaia no Kajitsu route, I would recommend Sakaki's route next. In my opinion it was the second best after Amane's. Then after that Sachi's, then after that Michiru's, then maybe after that Makina's if you aren't wierded out by the concept of a romance with a girl who looks like she's 12, talks like she's 8, and calls you papa (I definitely was).

Hmmmm, well I'll try again then. Maybe it'll sparkle my interest this time. Yeah, I am little wierded out too. I really like her because she always manages to make me laugh. But as a romance option...? I think I am going to read her route anyway because of my curiosity... But I am not really into loli stuff.

Started with Sachi first (going for Sakaki next), I suddenly felt the need to know why she is the way she is, and I found my favorite moment of any and all anime related stuff: I can think of more than a few dialogue sections to top that. Rewrite has more than a few. Here's my personal favorite.
